side of the socket on the front of the insufflator (See Figure A). The smoke evacu-
ation filter cassette is intended for use in multiple surgeries and will remain in
the device. The service life of the smoke evacuation filter cassette depends on the
quantity of smoke produced during multiple surgeries. Before the smoke evacu-
ation filter cassette is completely clogged, the message "Smoke evacuation will
be paused soon - be prepared for filter cassette change" will appear on the device.
If the smoke evacuation filter cassette is completely clogged, the smoke evacua-
tion from and to the device turns off and the device depicts the message "Smoke
evacuation paused - Change filter cassette." To replace the smoke evacuation
cassette, unplug the disposable tube set for the smoke evacuation and press the
eject button for the smoke evacuation filter cassette (see Figure D).

If a disposable tube set is not connected to the smoke evacuation, the smoke
evacuation filter cassette is to be closed with the protective cap to retain any
odor that may emanate from the filter.
5.5.2
The disposable tube set used for the smoke evacuation is delivered sterile. It may
only be used once for a patient and must be discarded after each surgery. To con-
nect the disposable smoke evacuation tube set to the filter cassette, remove the
protective cap from the smoke evacuation filter cassette and plug it in (See Figure
B).
To remove the disposable smoke evacuation tube set, unplug it from the smoke
evacuation filter cassette (See Figure C).

The display depicts an overview of the insufflation indications. Press the respec-
tive function button to select the desired indication (e.g. Standard).
The displayed parameters correspond with the factory settings or the values set
in the user menu (see chapter 7 Menu).
