2. TRANSPORT AND COMMISSIONING

mm

2.1. Using the truck for the first time

mm
Only operate the truck using a battery power supply. Rectified AC current will damage the
mm
electronic components. Cable connections to the battery (tow leads) must be less than 6
m. Preparing the truck for operation after delivery or transport Procedure:
mm
- Check the equipment is complete.
- Check the hydraulic oil level.
- Install the battery if required, (see «4.4 Battery removal and installation»). Do not damage
the battery cable.
- Charge the battery, (see «4.3 Charging the battery»). When the truck is parked, the sur-
face of the tyres will flatten. This flattening will disappear after a short period of operation.

2.2. Breaking in the truck

For the best performance, we recommended that the machine is operated with light loads
the first few times it is operated. In particular, the requirements given below should be
observed once the machine has been operated for a total of 100 hours.
- The new battery must not be allowed to over-discharge when used in the early stages of
its life cycle. Please charge the battery when the battery level is at less than 20%.
- Ensure that the preventative maintenance tasks specified are completed thoroughly and
with due care.
- Avoid stopping, starting or turning suddenly.
- It is recommended that you complete oil changes and lubricate parts before the speci-
fied dates.
- Limited load is 70–80% of the rated load.
