Engines equipped with rotating injec-
tion pump
The operation must be carried out only
by means of the battery-operated starter

motor.
To avoid problems, before carrying
out the operation, make sure that
the batteries have a suitable state of
charge.
1- Turn off the engine and remove the
ignition key.
2- Let the engine cool down adequately
to avoid being burnt.
3- Prepare a container of appropriate
capacity.
4- Completely fill new filter with fuel (with
a container).
Use clean and impurity-free fuel.
5- Install fuel filter in the special seat
(See "Fuel filter replacement.").
6- Loosen fittings (C).
7- Rotate engine ignition key 1 to posi-
tion to allow the opening of solenoid of
the pump.
8- Rotate and keep ignition key in
position 2 (the engine rotates idle) to di-
scharge the air from the pump and from
feeding pipes.
Release ignition key (C) when the fuel
comes out of feeding pipes.
9- Wipe out the fuel residues before
starting the engine.
10-Start the engine and run it at mini-
mum speed for a few minutes.

In case the engine does not start, try to
restart it without insisting too much in
order not to damage the starter motor.
If the problem persists, contact a tech-
nical assistance centre that is authori-
sed by the manufacturer.
11-Stop the motor when you finish this
operation.
