Functional description
Operating method of the pump:
The pumps consist of three main assemblies:
n
Housing with driver unit
Pump head
n
n
Control unit.
The construction has been chosen so that it is very easy to change between the 'EcoPro'
and 'EcoAdd' control panels.
In addition, the control units can be rotated variably on the housing
Ä Chapter 13.1.1 'Rotating the control unit' on page 165.
On the supplied mounting plate, the pump can be fastened without tools both for table-top
mounting and wall mounting
CAUTION!
The use of a suction pipe with an empty signal provision and dirt trap from our
accessory programme is highly recommended to protect the metering system.
The empty signal system causes the pump to cut off if the medium in the
container drops below a certain level.
The pump is available in a number of variants:
n
The design including complete software via an operator panel is known as 'EcoAdd' .
n
Expansion with an additional Bluetooth card means that it can be controlled and
analysed using the 'Ecolab EcoAPP' smartphone app

A low-noise stepper motor moves a metering diaphragm using
an eccentric gear.
During the suction stroke, a vacuum is generated through the
reverse motion of the diaphragm, and the metering medium is
drawn into the pump head through the suction valve.
With the pressure stroke, the diaphragm is moved forward,
creating positive pressure, and the medium is pressed through
the pressure valve into the metering line.
The delivery rate can be regulated by displaying it. A reduction
in quantity means an extension in the metering stroke duration.
The duration of the suction stroke remains unchanged. By
selecting a different dosage rate, the suction stroke duration
can also be modified for higher viscosities or challenging
suction conditions.
