inoculated, the appropriate oil overlay can be used by inserting a test tube (containing mineral oil
and a dosing head) onto the AIM system and selecting the oil overlay required for the specific
plate type.

Oil overlay for the GPID section (Gram-positive).

Oil overlay for the GNID section (Gram-negative).
Remove the test tube/dosing head combination from the AIM system within 30 seconds of dosing
a plate and store inverted in a rack or discard.

arrow.
