6. Remove foam plate holder transit clamp insert from the AIM system.
NOTE:
The system is shipped with a spare fuse that is located in the fuse box.
Installation site requirements
1. A horizontal flat surface, 33.8 cm x 31.2 cm (13.3 in x 12.3 in), with a 28.7 cm (11.3 in) height
clearance.
2. The surface must be able to support at least 8 kg (17.6 lb).
Installation procedure
1. Connect the main cable to the connector at the back of the instrument. The main plug should only
be inserted into a socket outlet with a protective earth contact. Do not use an extension cord
without an earth line.
2. Ensure that the instrument is connected to a protected earth terminal.
3. Ensure that the plate holder position is fully forward and to the right-hand side of the instrument.
4. Switch the instrument on using the power located on the back of the AIM system. The main
power switch is marked with a '1' (ON) and a '0' (OFF). See Figure 2.
