WARNING: In all stages where it is necessary to turn the chuck, therim and tyre must move as one; otherwise, there is
the risk of damage to the valve.
Damage is very probable when the sensor passes through the traction points.
To avoid the risk of slipping, make sure that the entire circumference of the tyre is properly positioned inside the
well of the rim, and that the working pressure is correct (8-10 bar).
DEMOUNTING THE LOWER BEAD
If the lower bead has re-seated to the rim, the bead can be re-broken by using the
lower disc on the PT trolley.
N.B.: You can also lubricate the lower bead in this way.
1- Lower the lower bead breaker disc and bring it to the same height as the lower edge
of the rim.
2- Place the bead breaker disc under the tyre, as close to the rim edge as possible (see
Fig. O/1).
3- Turn the turntable clockwise and simultaneously raise the disc until bead breaking has
been completed.
N.B. In this phase, the choice of locking the lower arm or not using the special control
lever (25, Fig. E) is optional.
WARNING: If you decide to lock the arm, place it so that it does not interfere with
the clamps when turned.
4- Line the disc up with the outer edge of the rim and then lock it by using the control
lever (25, Fig. E) on the arm.
5- Turn the turntable clockwise and simultaneously raise the disc to create space for insert-
ing the brush used for lubrication.
6- Thoroughly lubricate the inner bead (see Fig. O/2).
7- Using the special control lever, raise the disc until the bead is above the upper edge of
the rim (see Fig. O/3).
N.B. make the task easier by manually lifting the part of the tyre that is opposite the disc.
8- Use the space between the rim and the tyre to insert the bead guide lever (see Fig. O/4).
9- Start turning the turntable until the tyre has been completely demounted.
N.B. if necessary, alternate the direction of rotation of the turntable.
10- Use the control lever (25, Fig. E) to release the lower disc and bring it to a non-
working position.
11- Check the pressure sensor (if present) and replace if damaged.

TYRE MOUNTING

MOUNTING THE FIRST BEAD
1- Once all the preliminary checks have been performed, clamp the rim on the turntable as
illustrated in the relevant paragraph.
2- Bring the PT arms to a non-working position.
