Work steps
1.
Installation of the suspension unit: about 1-2 h
(please see the operating manual for the suspen-
sion unit).
2.
Preparing the pump for operation on a suspension
unit: about <1 h (please see the operating manual
for the suspension unit).
3.
Installing the pump: about 1-2 h
• Check that the suspension unit is firmly fixed
and functions properly.
• Secure the lifting equipment to the pump with
the shackle, lift the pump and then lower slow-
ly on to the guide pipes in the operating area.
• Hold the electric power cables slightly taut
when lowering.
• When the pump is connected to the suspension
unit, make sure that the electric power cables
are secured adequately to prevent them falling
and becoming damaged.
• Have the electrical connections carried out by
a qualified electrician.
• The pressure connection is sealed by its own
weight.
4.
Installing optional accessories, such as dry-run-
ning protection or level controllers.
5.
Starting up the pump: about 1 h
• As described in the "Commissioning" section
• For new installation: Flood the operating area
• Bleed the pressure pipe.
5.3.3. Portable wet well installation
With this installation type, the pump must be
equipped with a base (available as an optional ex-
tra). It is fitted to the suction port and ensures the
minimum floor clearance and a secure position
on a firm bearing surface. This installation type
makes optional positioning in the operating area
possible. For use on a soft bearing surface, a hard
base must be used to prevent the machine from

subsiding. A pressure hose is connected on the
pressure side.
With this type of installation, the pump must be
fixed to the floor for longer operating times. This
prevents vibrations as well as guaranteeing quiet
and low-wearing running.
If the motor is to be replaced during operation, it
is imperative the following temperature values are
observed:
• The max. ambient temperature
• The max. fluid temperature
The ambient temperature corresponds to the
fluid temperature. Please refer to the rating
plate or the separate data sheet for the max.
fluid temperature.
BEWARE of burns!
The housing components can heat up to well
above 40°C. There is a risk of burns! After
switching it off, let the pump cool down to
ambient temperature.

Work steps
1.
Preparing the pump: about 1 h
• Mount the base at the suction connection.
• Attach the pipe elbow to the pressure connec-
tion.
• Fix the pressure hose to the pipe elbow with
the hose clamp.
Alternatively, a Storz fixed coupling can be fit-
ted to the pipe elbow and a Storz hose coupling
to the pressure hose.
2.
Installing the pump: about 1-2 h
• Position the pump at the place of use. If nec-
essary, secure the lifting gear to the pump with
shackles, lift the pump and set it down at the
intended operating position (pit, shaft).
• Check that the pump is upright and standing on
a firm base. Do not let it subside!
• Lay the power supply cable so that it cannot be
damaged.
• Have the electrical connections carried out by
a qualified electrician.
• Lay the pressure hose so that it cannot be dam-
aged and secure at a suitable place (e.g. drain).
