13.3. Instructions for the user

Dear User,
In your building, you are using the grey water recycling system Pontos AquaCycle. This fully
automatic system employs a purely biological-mechanical process to treat shower and bath water for
re-use, without the addition of any chemicals.
The recycled water, referred to as process water, meets the strict hygiene requirements of the
European Bathing Water Directive and can be used, for example, for WC flushing. This means that
you can enjoy your daily shower and at the same time save valuable drinking water!
The following rules must be followed in order to ensure that the system functions perfectly:
General instructions
You can use the normal household amounts of standard products for cleaning bathtubs and showers,
and for daily body care. The greater the biodegradability of these products, the better.
The following substances and types of waste water must not enter the system:
Chlorine
Acids
Medicines
Chemical products
(except for the products stated under "General instructions")
Paint
Colourants and dyes (e.g. for hair or textiles)
Waste water from the kitchen (e.g.oils or greases)
Waste water from dishwashers
Waste water from washing machines
Mud baths
Waste water produced from washing clothing in the shower / bathtub / washbasin
Aquarium water
What can happen if these rules are not obeyed?
The WC flushing water can smell unpleasant and/or be cloudy and discoloured.
If this persists for several days without improving , contact your building technician or Pontos
GmbH.
