7.3. Sediment drain ball valve

The electric 2-way PVC ball valves DN50 drain
off the sediments from the tanks B2 and B3
and back-flushed solids from the filter F1 at
regular intervals.
Checking the ball valve
Check the ball valve when the controller is in
"manual operation". When doing this, pay
attention to the rotation of the hand wheel and
the flow noises.
If there is a power failure, the desired position
can be set with the manual emergency
actuator.
The manual emergency
actuator is an emergency
actuator. It may only be
turned clockwise (see
arrow on the handle).
Replacing the ball valve
All functionally important
parts inside the device are
lead-sealed. The warranty
is void if the lead seals are
damaged.
Before removing the ball valve,
drain all water out of the relevant
tank.
1. Allow the filter / relevant tank to drain
completely empty via the ball valves.
2. Unplug the system's main plug.

Operating Manual AquaCycle 2500
For the safety instructions, see the start of
chapter 7
Unplug the mains plug
before disassembling
the ball valve. Make
sure that the supply
voltage cannot be
switched back on again
accidentally.
3. Detach the power plug connection.
4. Undo the two union nuts on the pipes
5. Replace the ball valve Pay attention to the
flow direction when doing this.
6. Install the new ball valve in reverse order.
When installing, tighten the union nuts
hand-tight.
During assembly, pay
attention to the correct flow
direction (marking on the
valve base body) and
correct fitting of the seal.
7. Check for leaks and function
