Loosening carrier material
1. Empty the tanks B1 and B2 via the manual
or electric ball valve VA1.2.
2. Spray out the tanks B1 and B2 with the
process water hose of the tank B1 (on the
pipe to the filter backflush) with a sharp jet
and clean. The carrier material must be
mixed with the water jet so powerfully that
embedded sediments and dead bacteria
are flushed out.
3. Allow the agitated sediments to sink for
about 5 minutes.
4. Drain off the sediments via the respective
ball valve.
5. Repeat the procedure as often as
necessary until the water in the respective
tank is clear.
6. Fill the tanks again up to above the aerator
pipe and check the aeration again.
7. Activate the "run-in period" again if
necessary.
