FIRMWARE UPDATING

To update X-zone Com's firmware, you need a connection between X-zone Com and a computer via
Bluetooth or RS232 connecting cable. In addition, you require the "FirmLoader.exe" software and a
current "XCOM VX_XXX.fmw" firmware file. You can obtain these from your ORI or Dräger service rep-
resentative. Before you begin, determine your connection's COM-Port number if you do not already
know it (see Ch. 5.1). Then continue as described in the following:

Start the "FirmLoader.exe" and select your COM-Port.

Select the most current firmware file.

Click [CHECK FILE] to check the suitability of the firmware you

selected.
Your device type and the version number of your selected

firmware will appear in the "DEV" and "VER" boxes.
The status line at the bottom left of the window displays the
results of your actions.
Make sure the firmware is one for a X-zone Com.

Click [DOWNLOAD] to download the firmware to your X-

zone Com.

The status line will inform you when and if the download has
been completed.
Close the firmware loader with a click on
corner of the window.
