Operating Manual X-zone Com - Configuring X-zone Com
PIN: You can specify two PINs that X-zone Com will accept as valid for text message queries. Text
messages sent to the X-zone Com must contain the PINs. The "Reader PIN" is necessary to allow
recipients to read the message and the "Admin-Pin" allows the recipient to take actions that may al-
ter the situation. X-zone Com reacts only if messages contain a valid PIN and will ignore all messages
without valid PINs. You'll find more detailed information on text message options in Ch. 7.
Check all the telephone numbers that have been entered, subjecting them to a function test (see Ch.
6.5). If your settings specify that the phone number you are testing should receive a text message for
at least one of the alarm situations, the function test will trigger at least one text message immediately.
Example of an alarm text message:
Fig. 5.19: Example of an alarm text message. Seen here is a X-zone Com sent "Test_7", containing an A2 Alarm
for CO2 and a A1 Alarm for oxygen, read by an X-zone group device with ID 1.
5.4.6 "Status" tab
The "Status" tab displays a list of the connected X-zone Com's hardware and functions and their
statuses. Green checks indicate they are capable of operating.

NOTE
Only the sender of the query text message receives a reply.
