9. Troubleshooting

9.1 Visual and acoustic error messages

Malfunction
In stand-by mode (lid
closed) a bleeping noise
can be heard every four
minutes.
Device does not switch on
when the lid is opened.
The message: "Device is
not ready for use." is
heard after lid is opened.
The message: "Battery is
low." is heard after lid is
opened.
Red status indicator on
(flashes during stand-by,
on continuously during
operation).
Green and yellow status
indicators on (flashing
during stand-by,
continuously on during
operation) .
Yellow status indicator on
(flashes during stand-by,
on continuously during
operation).
Caution!
We recommend having maintenance measures
like servicing and repair work carried out by the
manufacturer, Weinmann, or by specialists ex-
pressly authorized by the manufacturer.
Cause of fault
The device has found a
malfunction during one of its
monthly/daily self-tests.
Battery capacity exhausted.
Device defective.
Device defective.
Battery capacity low.
Battery capacity low, 3 more
shocks not possible.
Device is not ready for use, self-
test has detected a fault.
Battery/rechargeable battery
capacity low; 10/6 shocks no
longer possible.
Non-critical device fault has
occurred, e.g.: wrong time.
Remedy
Check which status indicators are
flashing and proceed as described in this
table for the status indicator in question.
