Bevel Gear Backlash
• NOTE
- The backlash of bevel gears should be adjusted with shims
as mating position of the bevel gears being priority. The ratio
of which between the bevel gear 16 (3) and bevel gear 48 (4)
should be above 90%.
1- Set the dial indicator (lever type) to the bevel gear 16 (3) tooth face.
2. Push the camshaft (8) toward the bevel gear side from the oil
pump side so that the clearance between the cam gear (7) and
the camshaft support (6) becomes 0 mm.
3- Fix the bevel gear 48 (4), and measure the backlash by movi
ng the bevel gear 16 (3).
4- If the bevel gear backlash exceeds the factory specification,
adjust the bevel gear backlash with the shims (2).
5- If the backlash can not be adjusted with the shims of the drive
shaft assembly (1) side adjust it with the shims (5) of the bevel
gear 48 side.

Juego en el Piñón Cónico
• NOTA
- El juego entre los engranajes cónicos se deberá ajustar
con suplementos o calzas puesto que la posición de
emparejamiento de los dientes es prioritaria. El radio de contacto
entre el engranaje cónico 16 (3) y el cónico 48 (4) deberá
estar por encima del 90%.
1- Colocar el indicador dial (del tipo manija) a la cara dentada del
engranaje cónico 16 (3).
2- Empuje el árbol de levas (8) hacia el costado del engranaje del
cono desde el costado de la bomba de aceite de manera tal que
la luz entre el árbol de engranaje (7) y el soporte del mismo (6)
es de 0 mm.
3- Fije el engranaje cónico 48 (4), y mida el juego moviendo el
engranaje cónico 16 (3).
4- Si el juego de los engranajes excede la especificación de fábrica,
hay que ajustarlo mediante el uso de suplementos o calzas (2).
5- Si el juego no puede ser ajustado con los suplementos del
conjunto del eje conductor (1), ajustarlo con los suplementos (5)
del costado del engranaje cónico 48.
