End Clearance of Crankshaft
1- Install the disk spring, crankshaft collar 1 and adaptor coupling
on the crankshaft of the main bearing case side, and tighten the
flywheel nut 2 to the specified torque (883 to 981 N-m, 90 to 100
kgf-m, 651 to 723 ft-lbs for 1600 and 981 to 1079 N-m, 100 to 110
kgf-m, 723 to 796 ft-lbs for 3200).
2- Set a dial indicator at a right angle to the edge of the crankshaft.
Move the crankshaft in the axial direction to read the deflection of
the dial indicator.
3- If the clearance exceeds the allowable limit, replace the thrust
bearing.

Luz al Final del Cigüeñal
1- Instalar el resorte plano, el collar del cigüeñal 1 y el adaptador
de acople sobre el cigüeñal del costado de la caja del cojinete
p r i n c i p a l . Ajustar la tuerca del volante 2 al torque especificado
(883 a 981 N-m, 90 a 100 kgf-m, 651 a 723 pies-libras para 1600
y 981 a 1079 N-m, 100 a 110 kgf-m, 723 a 796 pies-libras para 3200).
2- Colocar un indicador dial en un ángulo recto del extremo del
cigüeñal.
Mover el cigüeñal en dirección axial para leer la deflexión del
indicador dial.
3- Si esa medida excede el límite permitido, cambiar el cojinete
de empuje.

1- Measure the thrust bearing thickness with a vernier calipers.
2- If the measurement exceeds the allowable limit, replace it.
