6.7 - How to adjust the knives to the rotor counter knife

Proper adjustment of the knives with the
rotor counter knife ensures better cutting
quality, requires less tractor power, in
addition to reducing fuel consumption.
Check the adjustment after each sharpening
of the knives, trying to maintain a maximum
clearance of 0.5 mm between knife and
counter knife.
ATTENTION!
Turn off the tractor and remove
the ignition key before starting
the following procedure.
PROCEDURE:
In order to access the counter-knife, it is
1.
first necessary to articulate the platform,
proceeding as described in item 6.3;
Loosen the nuts of the 3 bolts (N);
2.
Loosen the 2 bolts (P);
3.
Move the counter-knife seeking a
4.
clearence between the knives and the
counter-knife is not more than 0.5 mm;
Reinsert the counter-knife by tightening
5.
only the 2 bolts (P). Keep the bolts (N)
loose for now;
Loosen the bolt nuts (Q) and also adjust
6.
the horizontal counter-knife (S);
Retighten the bolt nuts (Q).

Pull the scraper (R) all the way forward;
