6.5- How to invert or replace the rotor counter knives

Check the counter-knives every time you
sharpen the rotor knives. If the cutting
difficulty remains after sharpening, it is
likely that the counter-knives are very worn,
damaged or unregulated with the knives.
To adjust the knives with the counter-knives,
proceed as described in item
Whenever necessary, reverse or immediately
change the counterknife as follows:
The use of PPE (Personal Protective
E q u i p m e n t ) i s m a n d a t o r y d u r i n g
operation, maintenance and adjustment
of the machine. Wear suitable gloves
and goggles. Take special care when
handling knives and counter knife, these
components have sharp areas that can
cause injury if handled without proper
protection and care.
ATTENTION!
Turn off the tractor and remove
the ignition key before starting
the following procedure.
To access the rotor counter knife, articulate

the platforms to the sides, proceeding as
described in item 6.3.
Lower the machine and leave it on the

ground.
Remove the 3 bolts (A), the 2 bolts (B),

the counter knife (C) and the scraper (D).
Invert the side of use of the counter-knife

(C) or replace it with a new one if all sides
are already in use.
