Preparation and installing the driveshaft

Verify if the length of the driveshaft is appropriate for the tractor used.
Uncouple the two parts of the driveshaft.
Couple the male side to the machine and the
female side to the tractor.
Place both sides of the driveshaft side-by-side.
There must be at least 20 cm play on the MALE
and FEMALE ends, as shown on the following
picture.
Before cutting the driveshaft, check all possible
positions for using the driveshaft in the original
size. Try to adjust the tractor towing bar, (in case
of any doubts, consult the respective manual).
If it is not possible to use it in the original length,
mark the driveshaft ends where they need to be
cut.
Remove it from the machine and the tractor and
cut to size.
