Brake adjustment
Perfect operation of the brake system is
fundamental to efficient operation of the Grain
Silo Filler. The NSG-9200 is equipped with disc
brakes, actuated by a centralized hydraulic
system, providing equal braking power to both
wheels.
As the bag fills, the machine is pushed fowards
(away from the bag). During this process, the
brake acts by holding the machine and controlling
the compaction of the grains inside the bag.
But too much braking, increasing the compaction
and then it stretches the bag too much and
causes a negative impact on its impermeability.
On the other hand, when there is too little braking
power, air remains between the grains, spaces
which may promote high temperatures that will
also impact the quality of the grain storage.
We recommend applying an initial pressure of
around 70 bar (1015 PSI), start by observing the
stretching of the bag. If necessary, adjust the
pressure until the ideal amount is applied so that
the bag stretches as recommended by the
manufacturers.
Braking power is measured by the pressure
applied in the system, from the hydraulic pump
(fig.56).
NOTE:
NSG-9200 is equipped with a manometer
for controlling the pressure rating.
Follow these instructions to adjust the brakes:
fig.55
1- Open the valve (A).

2- Completely close the valve (B) of the pump.
3- Open the lever (C) from the pump several
repeated times, paying attention to the pressure
on the manometer. Stop when it reached the
recommended pressure.
