Do not approach narrow curves at high speed or
D
when the PTO is submitted to a high load.
Always operate the baler at a safety speed, de-
D
pending on the sloping and on the ground type.
In case of rough ground, drive cautiously in par-
ticular next to ditches or deep embankments.
If the pick--up is seized, do not try and press or
D
remove the fodder while the machine is moving.
DANGER: risk of tangling, wrapping, dragging
while trying to remove crop or foreign bodies
from the pick- -up while the machine is opera-
ting. Such an action could cost you the life or the loss
of a limb.
Strictly comply with the following procedure:
1.
Release the tractor PTO.
2.
Switch the tractor engine off.
3.
Engage the tractor parking brake.
4.
Remove the keys from the dashboard.
5.
Wait until all moving parts have come to a
complete stop.
6.
Manually remove the crop clogging the feed-
ing at the pick--up front.
Replace the shearbolts with others having the
D
same metal and size features.
During bale ejection, make sure no people, ani-
D
mals or things are standing the baler tailgate op-
erating range.
DANGER: risk of shocks or squeezing due to
the tailgate opening.
Consider the ground sloping before ejecting the
D
bale.
If, for whatever reason, you need to work under
D
the raised tailgate, always engage both safety
devices of hydraulic cylinders, see fig. 23. The
safety device engagement/release operation
must be made out of the tailgate closing area.
DANGER: risk of squeezing due to the tailgate
accidental closing.
3- -a CONTACT
WITH
ELECTRICAL LINES
DANGER: danger of death by electrocution.
When you need to work next to overhanging
D
electrical lines, above all while opening the tail-
gate, make sure there's a minimum safety clear-
ance.
To this matter, contact the competent power sup-
D
ply distribution company.
The machine is mainly made up of metal, thus an
D
accidental contact with an electrical line could
cause a high voltage discharge, generating se-
vere injuries and even death.
Pay special attention to overhanging electrical
D
cables. Make sure the machine has clearance
enough to pass in all directions (even with ma-
chine components lifted).
Consider also the aerial or other accessories
D
fitted as standard, or additional parts.
In case of contact between the machine and an
D
electrical cable strictly comply with the follo-
wing procedure:
1.
Release the tractor PTO.
2.
Switch the tractor engine off.
3.
Engage the tractor parking brake.
4.
Check if you can leave the operator's seat or
your current position safely, without touch-
ing the electrical cable.
5.
Jump from the last step, making sure there
is no contact of body, ground and machine.
6.
Do not touch the machine until power has
been cut off from the electrical cables. If
someone approaches the machine, inform
him not to touch it.
7.
Ask for the electrical power supply company
to cut power off immediately.
