Strictly Follow the Instructions for Use
Any use of the chemical protective suit requires full under-
standing and strict observation of these instructions.
The chemical protective suit is only to be used for the pur-
poses specified here.
Maintenance
The chemical protective suit must be inspected and main-
tained regularly by trained service personnel. This procedure
must be recorded in a protocol (see "Record Card" on
page 36).
We recommend signing a service contract with Dräger to have
all maintenance jobs carried out.
Only authentic Dräger spare parts may be used for mainte-
nance.
Observe the chapter on "Maintenance Intervals" on page 31.
Accessories
Only use the accessories contained in the order list.
Safety Symbols used in this Manual
While reading this manual, you will come across a number of
warnings concerning some of the risks and dangers you may
face while using the device. These warnings contain "signal"
words that will alert you to the degree of hazard you may

The chemical protective suits of the WorkMaster series can be

equipped with the following integral full face mask:

— full face mask with round thread connection (RA) according

to DIN EN 148-1

— full face mask with plug connection (P) as a fast-coupling

connection for pressurised equipment

— full face mask with standard connection (PE) according to
DIN EN 148-3
— full face mask with standard plug connection (PE/ESA)
according to DIN 58600.
Only use lung demand valves which match the facepiece. This
will ensure a trouble-free operation.
Alternatively, all chemical protective suits except
WorkMaster Industry can be equipped with a face cuff. The
versions with face cuff are worn with a full face mask which
belongs to the breathing protection apparatus.
A self-contained breathing apparatus or a compressed air
hose breathing apparatus is required for the breathable air
supply. Combination possibilities: see "Utilisable Personal
Protection Equipment" on page 21.
The self-contained breathing apparatus and the helmet are
worn over the chemical protective suit.
All chemical protective suits are gastight.
The WorkMaster chemical protective suit is made of coated
fabric (UMEX). The visor of the integral full face mask is made
of polycarbonate.
The WorkMaster Industry chemical protective suit is made of
coated fabric (Symex). The visor of the integral full face mask is
made of polycarbonate.
The WorkMaster PF chemical protective suit is made of

coated fabric (Viton /Butyl). The visor of the integral full face
mask is made of composite safety glass. The zip fastener is
covered by a flap made of suit material for additional splash
protection.
