Operation
7.1
Switch-on/switch-off
Use the central master switch on the front of the
unit (see Fig. 1, item 6) to switch on the EPS 205.
 After switch-on, the Windows operating system
starts up and then the EPS 200 system software.
Before switching off at the central master switch,
first end the EPS 200 system software and then shut
down the Windows operating system.
i
Prior to renewed switch-on, the EPS 205 must have
been switched off for at least 60 seconds.
i
Do not switch off the EPS 205 while component
testing is in progress (except in the case of emer-
gency stop). Always switch off the EPS 205 by way
of the central master switch on the front of the unit
before unplugging the three-phase AC connector.
i
Always connect the printer by way of the USB con-
necting cable before switching on the EPS 205.
i
During operation of the EPS 205, problems may be
encountered if use is made of auxiliary equipment
(e.g. printer, DVD drive, connecting cables) not sup-
plied by Bosch.

Preparation for testing
R
Before performing any CRI/CRIN, CRI Piezo or DHK/
UI tests, always check the oil level indicator (Fig. 1,
item 8) to make sure there is sufficient test oil in the
tank.
!
The test oil level must always be above the inspec-
tion port mark.
R
We recommend performing a leak test every
day (sealing plug on connection adapter, see
Sec. 5.6.16). The leak test can be called up under
"Service >> Equipment diagnosis".
R
To avoid contamination of the test oil, each
CRI/CRIN, CRI Piezo and DHK/UI component must
be cleaned before testing. Never fit damaged, con-
taminated and/or severely corroded CRI/CRIN, CRI
Piezo and DHK/UI for testing.
