Attaching injection chamber to injector
For testing, the injection chamber (Fig. 8, item 5) is fit-
ted over the nozzle of the CRI/CRIN, CRI Piezo or DHK/
UI and secured with the knurled nut (Fig. 8, item 4).

1. Unfasten the knurled nut (Fig. 8, item 4) by turning it
counter-clockwise.
2. Slide the injection chamber as far as it will go over
the nozzle of the CRI/CRIN, CRI Piezo or DHK/UI.
3. Attach the injection chamber to the component by
turning the knurled nut clockwise.

Do not fasten the knurled nut so tightly that it makes
contact with the body of the injection chamber, as
thermal expansion of the hot injection chamber then
makes it difficult to unfasten the knurled nut.
4. Fix the injection chamber in position by means of
the injection chamber holder (Fig. 3, item 5).

5.6.9 Connection adapter for CRI/CRIN, CRI Piezo
and DHK/UI
The adapter nuts (M12x1.5 and M14x1.5) included
in the scope of delivery and the connection adapter
(Fig. 9, item 2) are required for the high-pressure
connection for CRI/CRIN, CRI Piezo and DHK/UI with
M12x1.5 or M14x1.5 threaded connection. The connec-
tion adapter with the appropriate adapter nut is con-
nected between the CRI/CRIN, CRI Piezo or DHK/UI and
the high-pressure hose.

Always connect the high-pressure hose (Fig. 9,
item 1) to the CRI/CRIN, CRI Piezo or DHK/UI by way
of the connection adapter. Never connect the high-
pressure hose directly to the CRI/CRIN, CRI Piezo or
DHK/UI. Always make sure the connection adapter is
clean.
If the connection adapter is leaking, the two O-rings
and the support rings in the connection adapter
must be replaced (order number for spare parts set:
1 680 210 150).
