return to the return quantity test connection (Fig. 4,

return to the CRI Piezo return inlet (Fig. 3, item 1).

outlet (Fig. 3, item 2) to the return quantity test con-
nection (Fig. 4, item 3).

5.6.12 Hose 1 680 712 283
The hose 1 680 712 283 is required for draining the test
oil tank (see Sec. 8.2.5).
5.6.13 Inlet filter
The function of the inlet filter included in the scope of
delivery is to filter out any dirt occurring during testing
despite the CRI/CRIN or CRI Piezo having been cleaned.

The inlet filter must always be inserted at the "In-
jected fuel quantity test connection" (Fig. 4, item 4)
for CRI/CRIN and CRI Piezo. This ensures the correct
direction of flow. Never insert the inlet filter at the
injection chamber. The filter must be removed for
DHK/UI testing.
5.6.14 Adapter for check valve 1 683 350 904
The adapter with check valve included in the scope of
delivery is used in testing Bosch CRIs, CRINs and piezo
CRIs. The adapter with check valve sets a counter-pres-
sure of 800 hPa in the test oil return. With Bosch CRIs,
CRINs and piezo CRIs, plug the adapter into the "test
connection for return quantity".

With third-party CRIs, CRINs and piezo CRIs, remove
the adapter with check valve.

Adapter cables 1 684 465 841, 1 684 465 842 (CRI)
The adapter cables are required for actuation of the
CRI via the EPS 205. These adapter cables are primarily
used for Bosch CRI.
