8.3.1 Attachment devices may exclusively be
suspended in the load hooks!
If the attachment devices are put
directly over the spreader beam, they
can slip and consequently can crash
the load.
DANGER
8.3.2 The adjustable attachment points may only have
an inclination of max. 6° in the welded catches.
If the adjustable attachment
points hang in their catches at an
inclination greater than 6°, the
catches can deform and release the
load.
DANGER
8.3.3 Chains must not be used when they are twisted.
If the chains are used when they are
twisted, they can deform, thus
incalculable forces can emerge and
release the load.
DANGER
8.3.4 The adjustable attachment points and the cross
beams may only and exclusively be placed into their
catches without load. Danger of finger crushing!
If the attachment points and the
cross beams are not put into their
catches correctly, the load can slip
and consequently crash.
DANGER
If while adjusting or placing the
attachment points or cross beams
into their catches the fingers are
between the catch the main beam or
the adjustment point, there is the
CAUTION
danger of crushing the fingers.
8.3.5 Make sure that all the four attachment points
carry evenly and that no chain, round sling or similar
is sagging. Otherwise re-position the attachment point.
If only three attachment points carry
the load, the spreader beam is
overloaded. This can lead to failure
of the spreader beam and to crash of
the load.
