6.12 Avoid swinging, jerky lifting and lowering of the
load as well as hitting obstacles with the load.
Swinging loads or loads hitting
obstacles can damage machines
or equipment and hurt persons
standing nearby. In the worst case
the load can crash.
WARNING
6.13 When unloading, lifting and transporting, always
make sure that there is enough free space from the sur-
rounding obstacles. Do not drive and lift the crane hook
at the same time. After lifting drive evenly.
Strong swinging can lead to damage
or crash of the load.
DANGER
6.14 Never lift and transport in a haste and do not stay
in a danger area. Never lift loads above persons or
safety sections.
When transporting in a hurry,
the emerging dynamic forces can
lead to falling out of the load.

6.15 Do not set down the load on objects standing
nearby in order to avoid an inclination of the load.
When the load is set down at an
inclination, the load can fall out and
be damaged.
WARNING
6.16 Never open the safety catch at the crane hook or
the integrated load hooks when the spreader beam is
still in the air.
If the hook safety latch is opened
before the Load is set down
completely and is in stable posi-
tion and before the crane hook
is released, the load and/or the

6.17 Consider the vertical centre of gravity of the load.
The load centre of gravity (LCG) must be lower than the
attachment points of the load (also see the sketches).
Due to an unstable load, uncontrollable forces
can release the load and hit persons, and objects
or damage the load.

6.18 When the Spreader Beam is not in use or is being
stored, it should be set down on a stand in a hall.
Ensure the safe position of the stand and the spreader
beam.
If the load, the spreader beam or
the stand is not in a stable position
but at an inclination, it can tilt and
hurt persons, damage the Spreader
Beam or other objects.
