SYMPTOM
Noise in the upper arms.
Oil level low.
Only one of the needles
breaking.
Both needles breaking.
Safety bolt of the needle
breaking.

CAUSE
1- Springs of the arms
are compressed indi-
cating
overload.
1- Retainer leaking.
1- Opening of the pis-
ton where the needle
goes is obstructed.
2- Screws which fasten
the needle have come
loose.
3- Twisted needle.
1- Brake spring has
broken.
2- Opening of the pis-
ton where the needle
goes is obstructed.
1- Knotmaker dirty.
2- Inappropriate safety
bolt.
3- Opening of the pis-
ton where the needle
goes is obstructed.
Instructions Manual
PROCEDURE
1- Reduce speed of the
tractor to bale conti-
nuously without
compressing the sprin-
gs.
1- Change the retainer
and fill up the oil.
1- Clean piston.
2- Place new needle,
revising the set screws
3- Replace needle. Ve-
rify status of the other
needle.
1- Replace spring.
2- Clean piston.
1- Clean knotmaker
daily.
2- Use genuine bolt.
3- Clean piston.
