protective goggles and mouth protection.
• Immediately wipe up drips.
• All components must be cleaned and disinfected!

Return delivery / storage
Lifting units that are sent back to the factory must be cleaned to
remove impurities and, if they have been used with fluids that are
harmful to health, they must also be decontaminated.
For shipping, the parts must be packed in tear-proof plastic bags
of sufficient size in such a manner that they are tightly sealed and
leak-proof. Furthermore, the packaging must protect the lifting
unit from damage during transportation. If you have any ques-
tions, please contact the manufacturer!
Please also refer to the "Transport and storage" sec-
tion for the return delivery and putting into storage!

Maintenance and repair
For reasons of safety, and thus to guarantee correct function of
the lifting unit, it must always be maintained by Salmson custom-
er service.
The maintenance intervals for lifting units are determined by
EN 12056-4:
• ¼ year in the case of commercial companies
• ½ year for units in multi-family houses
• 1 year for units in single-family houses
A log must be kept of all maintenance and repair work, which must
be signed by the service employee and the end-user.
NOTE
We recommend concluding a maintenance contract
for regular maintenance work. Please contact Salm-
son customer service for more information about
this.

Troubleshooting and possible solutions
In order to prevent damage or serious injury when repairing mal-
functions on the lifting unit, the following points must always be
observed:
• Only repair a malfunction if qualified personnel are avail-
able for this work, i.e. the individual tasks must be carried
out by trained specialists. For example, electrical work
must be performed by an electrician.
• Always secure the lifting unit to prevent it restarting in-
advertently, by disconnecting it from the electrical mains.
Take appropriate precautions.
• Also comply with the installation and operating instruc-
tions provided with the accessories used!
• Unsanctioned modifications to the lifting unit are made at
the operator's own risk and release the manufacturer from
any warranty obligations!
