Cleaning the torque and angle wrench
Cleaning the torque and
angle wrench
ATTENTION
Material damage possible due to
incorrect cleaning.
 Clean the torque and angle wrench
using a dry, clean cloth only.
Repair, maintenance and
calibration
Apart from regular calibration, the torque and angle
wrench is maintenance-free.
The internal components of the torque and angle
wrench are subject to normal wear during use. The
accuracy of the triggering values therefore has to be
checked at regular intervals.
Repairing the torque and angle wrench
In the event of damage to the torque and angle
wrench or malfunctions, repair with subsequent
calibration is necessary.
Repairs may only be undertaken by STAHLWILLE.
Notes on calibration
Calibration or adjustment of the torque and angle
wrench may only be performed using a suitable
calibration device.
Torque and angle wrenches are test equipment.
The calibration interval is dependent on the
following operating factors, etc.:
 Required accuracy
 Frequency of use
 Typical load during use
 Environmental conditions during the working
process
58
 Storage conditions.
The period of time for calibration arises from the
test equipment monitoring procedures defined
within your company (e.g. ISO 9000 ff). If test
equipment monitoring is not undertaken within your
company, have the torque and angle wrench
calibrated or adjusted after a maximum of 12
months starting from initial use or after 5000
triggering processes (DIN EN ISO 6789).
If the following is shown on the display after
switching on the torque and angle wrench, the
torque and angle wrench should be calibrated
according to the specifications of DIN EN ISO 6789
as soon as possible.
 To continue working, acknowledge the message
with OK.
