2.2.1. Handling and packaging
On delivery, the machine must be in perfect condition. The packaging must not be incomplete
or damaged. Follow the indications on the packing (for example, fragile, top and bottom,
sensitive to rain, etc.). As the machine is quite heavy and large (see below) plan on using
suitable lifting and handling equipment in order to work safely.
The machine must be handled using a fork lift of sufficient capacity, the forks must be spaced
as far apart as possible to prevent tipping.
It is essential to take the machine at its centre (centre of gravity in the axis).
Do not tip or drop the machine when unloading for example.
Note: if slinging is used (not provided for and not recommended), handling will be the sole
responsibility of the handling agent (risk of buckling the machine).

2.2.2. Premise characteristics
•
The machine must be installed in very well ventilated premises with correct lighting and
a temperature of between + 10°C and + 40°C (limit temperature for the drive motor
variable frequency drive).
•
To achieve best machine performances, make sure that fresh air enters from outside
the room, as close to the machine as possible.
The fresh air inlet cross-section must be at least 4 times the outlet pipe cross-section.
Depending on the model, there may be two outlet evacuation pipes.
Note: the fresh air inlet cross section is the cross section through which the air can
move without resistance due to the grate installed on the inlet. The fact that the grate bars
occupy a large part of the grid cross section should be taken into account.
Sufficient space must be left around the machine to allow proper operation:
60 cm minimum at the back for the extractor connections and for easy
maintenance.
NOTE: for the back outfeed folding machine option, allow enough space at the
back (minimum 150 cm).
60 to 80 cm on each side for servicing and maintenance.
Sufficient space must be left at the front for operators to be able to work properly
and safely.
Minimum floor strength is required to install this type of machine (see table below).
