13.1
Recommended maintenance schedule
Do not attempt to carry out any maintenance work.
The internal components of the unit are accessible only after parts are removed with special
tools and may be opened and subjected to maintenance by authorized service technicians of
dealers only.
Contact your local authorized Air Techniques dealer for any maintenance. Non-compliance with
these instructions can lead to equipment damage and loss of the warranty.
Prior to working on the unit or in case of danger, disconnect it from the mains.

❯ Visually inspect the device.
❯ Check the phosphor storage plates and intraoral/extraoral plate protectors for
scratches, and replace them if necessary.
❯ Check the light protection brushes, cut any protruding hairs and remove them.
❯ Check the belt drives, transport belts and springs, and replace them if neces-
sary.
❯ Disassemble the transport arch.
❯ Remove dust and dirt from accessible parts.
❯ Mount the transport arch.
❯ Carry out a system check.
Every 2 years
❯ Replace the pressure roller unit.
❯ Replace the transport belts and tension springs.
❯ Replace the timing belt.
13.2
Check image quality
To assure the image quality, the unit must be subjected to maintenance (see "13.1 Recommended
maintenance schedule") and regular cleaning and disinfection (see "12 Cleaning and disinfection") and
the image quality of the PSP and X-ray system need to be checked.

The recommended maintenance intervals are based on operation of the
device for 50 intraoral images per day on 220 working days per year.
The recommended maintenance intervals are based on operation of the
device with 40 intraoral and 10 extraoral images per day and 220 working
days per year.
