BRAKING AND COMPACTION

As the screw compacts the material
inside the bag, the machine is
pushed forward (in the opposite
direction to the bag). During this
process, the machine brake controls
the material compaction inside the
bag.
Always bear in mind that the tractor's
brake is not used to perform the
bagging; only the braking system
from the Bagger.
You should apply adequate braking
pressure in order to take maximum
advantage of the silo bag capacity,
always observing the highest
possible tension, intended by the
manufacturer.
At the beginning of the filling, it is
recommended to adjust the brakes
with a higher pressure than the
regular working one. This procedure
makes the filling of the initial part of
the bag more efficient. Start with a
pressure from 30 to 40 bar (435 to
580 psi), and carefully observe the
lengthening of the bag. Once the
initial part of the bag is filled up, you
must adjust the braking pressure
and control the lengthening. The
pressure follow-up is made by using
a manometer.
In order to enable the ideal control
of the lengthening, the bag has a
reference scale printed on it.
During its filling, it is very important
to observe the lengthening through
this scale found on the bag, and be
careful not to exceed its maximum
tension, which might damage the
bag.
printed tracks on the bag indicate the
maximum lengthening
During the filling, using a tape measure, constantly
check the scale printed on the bag. Be careful not
to exceed the bag's maximum lengthening.
REMEMBER:
Excessive braking overstretches the bag,
compromising its impermeability, and might also
damage it. On the other hand, very low braking
power provides the formation of air pockets,
space which might be a breach for the rising of
temperature, which might also compromise the
quality of storage.
NOTE!
Verify the pressure by using a manometer, which
comes with the bagger.
Maximum pressure recommended for the Bagger
braking system is of 70 bar (1015 psi). If you go over
this measure you will damage the hydraulic pump.
