AFTER CUTTING
Using a file, remove all the filings
from the tubes. Clean and lubricate
with a thin layer of grease.
Keep the flanges aligned.
When assembling the PTO drive line
shaft assembly, one should carefully
observe that the cardan yokes on the
extremities are aligned in the same
position. Incorrect alignment of the
yokes will cause vibration, premature
wear and breakage.

ƒ You must observe the length of the
cardan shaft whenever you use a
different tractor model.
ƒ Clean and lubricate the PTO axis
(from the tractor and the machine)
before you couple the cardan.
ƒ After you mount the cardan,
fasten the safety chains on the
tractor and the machine, leaving a
clearance to allow the articulation
of the cardan assembly in any
working conditions.
ƒ It is the Authorized Dealer sole
responsibility to perform the
cardan shaft preparation and the
first activation of the machine.
IMPORTANT!
Always turn off the PTO when you
maneuver with the machine coupled.
According to the Manufacturer, it is recommended
that the angle when the cardan is functioning can
reach maximum 35º for a very short time. When
work is continuous, it cannot go over 15º.

In normal working conditions, with the implement
in its horizontal position and being shifted in a
straight line, the contact surface between the tube
and the bar must be 2/3 of the minimum length
of the cardan.
In a more critic situation, the measure of this
overlap must be at least 1/3 of the minimum length
of the cardan.

Never use the cardan without its protective
cover.
Tie long hair and do not wear loose-fitting clothes
when you operate the machine.
Contact with the cardan in operation might result
in a serious accident.
