Description of the Day Use Tubing
The sterile packaged Day Use Tubing consists of two tube sections: the Day-Use
Cassette Tubing that may be used for up to 24 hours or up to 10 applications and
the Patient-Use Tubing that must be changed for each patient.
The Day-Use Cassette Tubing may be used for up to 10 applications on any single
day.
WARNING!
The Day-Use Cassette must be replaced at the end of the day of surgery (not later
than after 24 hours after first use or 10 applications).
A sterile protection cap (supplied with each Patient-Use Tubing) must be screwed
onto the hygiene connector at the cassette tube immediately after the surgical
procedure to protect from contamination. The sterile protector remains connect-
ed to the Day-Use Cassette Tubing until the next surgery.
WARNING!
The sterile protection cap must be screwed onto the hygiene connector of the
Day-Use Cassette Tubing after each surgery to maintain sterility of the Day-Use
Cassette Tubing throughout the day of surgery.
The Patient-Use Tubing has to be replaced for every patient to prevent cross-con-
tamination. After surgery, the Day-Use Cassette Tubing remains connected to
the device; the utilized Patient-Use Tubing must be disposed off immediately af-
ter each surgery.
WARNING!
The Patient-Use Tubing must be changed for each patient.
CAUTION!
Make sure to connect tubes as indicated by the matching connectors.
The Day-Use Cassette Tubing includes the connections to the fluid bags and to
the hygiene connector of the Patient-Use Tubing.
