5.4.1
Description of the Single Use Cassette Tubing
The sterile packaged Single Use Cassette Tubing consists of cassette tubing with
three sections: the inflow tube (2), tube cassette (1) and instrument tube (11).

5.4.2
Inserting the Single Use Cassette Tubing
In order to separate sterile from non-sterile areas, assign the following tasks to
the "non-sterile" or the "sterile" nurse or medical personnel.
Non-sterile tasks
1. Switch device on as described in chapter 5.3 "Switching On Device".
2. Open packaging of the Single Use Cassette tube.
3. Have the sterile personnel remove the inner tubing package.
Sterile tasks
4. Unpack the inner tubing package and remove the tubes and the Single Use
Cassette from the package. Keep the Luer lock connection within the sterile
area and hand the end with the tap spikes and the tube cassette to the "non-
sterile" nurse or medical personnel.
5. Connect the Luer lock connector with the instrument (e.g. inflow cannula).
Non-sterile tasks
6. Insert tube cassette into device.
