Controlled variable actual value display:
A 0...10 V signal for an external measurement/display option
for the current controlled variable-actual value is available
through the corresponding terminals in accordance with the
wiring diagram. 0...10 V corresponds in this connection with the
pressure sensor signal 0 ... pressure sensor final value. E.g.

Current frequency display:
A 0...10 V signal for an external measurement/display option
for the current actual frequency is available through the corre-
sponding terminals in accordance with the wiring diagram for
switchgears that have frequency converters. 0...10 V corre-
sponds thereby to the frequency range 0...f

Temperature sensor (optional):
Temperature sensors PT100 (standard) or PT1000 (optional) can
be connected via the corresponding terminals (in accord-
ance with the wiring diagram).
Do not connect any interference voltage

to the terminals!
8. COMMISSIONING
We recommend that you have the commissioning done by the
Salmson after-sales service.
Before switching on for the first time, the wiring done onsite
must be checked, particularly the earthing.
The individual measures for commissioning can be found in the
Installation and operating instructions for the entire installation
(PBS).
Tighten all connection terminals prior to
ATTENTION!
commissioning!
8.1 Factory setting
The control system is preset at the factory. The works setting
can be restored by the SALMSON Service.
8.2 Checking the direction of rotation of the motor
Briefly switch on each pump in "Manual mode" (Menu 1.1) to
check whether the direction of rotation of the pump in mains
operation matches the arrow on the pump housing. In the
case of glandless pumps, the incorrect or correct direction of
rotation will be displayed by a monitor LED in the terminal box
(see Installation and operating instructions for the pump).
•In the event of an incorrect direction of rotation for all pumps
in mains operation, switch any 2 phases of the main power line
with one another.
Voltage/pressure
1 V = 4 m(WS)
.

Installations without frequency converter:
•In the event of an incorrect direction of rotation for only one
pump in mains operation, 2 phases in the motor terminal box
are to be switched at random for motors where P2 ≤ 4 kW
(direct starting).
•In the event of an incorrect direction of rotation for only one
pump in mains operation, 4 phases in the motor terminal box
are to be switched at random for motors where P2 ≥ 5.5 kW
(star/delta start-up). For this, the start of the winding and end
of the winding are to be switched for 2 phases (e.g. V
and W
for W
).

Installations with frequency converter:
•Mains operation: Set each pump individually to "Manual
mode" in Menu 1.1. Afterwards, proceed the same way as with
installations without frequency converters.
•Frequency converter operation: Set each pump individually to
"Automatic" in Menu 1.1 in the automatic installation operat-
ing mode with FC. Afterwards, each individual pump is
switched on briefly in order to check the direction of rotation in
frequency converter operation. In the event of an incorrect
direction of rotation for all pumps, 2 phases on the frequency
converter output are to be switched at random.
8.3 Adjusting the motor protection
•WSK / PTC: No adjustment is required with excess temperature
protection.
•Excess current: see Section 6.1.5
8.4 Signal transmitters and optional modules
The Installation and operating instructions for the signal trans-
mitters are to be observed.
The installation of optional auxiliary modules is accomplished
at the factory.
