5 Regular Inspection and Maintenance
ACO recommends that you conclude a maintenance contract. This guarantees that mainte-
nance work is carried out professionally and completed in good time by ACO product specia-
lists,
section 1.1 "ACO Service".

Enter inspections, maintenance work and test results in the operating log book:
Inspections carried out by the operator

Measurement: water consumption, thickness of sludge and grease layers, pH reading,

temperature
Maintenances and general inspections

Disposals (emptying and cleaning)

NOTICE If inspections identify faults, the grease separator may only be put into operation
again when they have been rectified.
5.1 Daily Inspections
Checks carried out by the operator:
Check the grease separator for external damage.

Remove dirt in the intake pipe grit collector.

5.2 Weekly Inspections
Checks carried out by the operator:
Check the grease separator, connections, and mechanical and electrical components for
■
external damage.
Check the volume of sludge in the sludge trap and the thickness of the grease layer.

Remove coarse floating matter from the surface of the water.
■
For grease separators with a filling unit: Check the hydraulic seal in the odour
■
