*Definition of „qualified persons" according to DIN 4040-100:
Qualified persons are persons employed by the operator or third parties commissioned
by the operator who, on the basis of their professional training, their knowledge and the
experience gained in their practical work, ensure that they carry out assessments or checks
in the relevant specialised field properly.
*Definition of „competent persons" according to DIN 4040-100:
Competent persons are employees with operations, experts or other institutions independent
of the operator who verifiably have the technical knowledge required for the operation,
maintenance and inspection of separator systems to the extent defined here and furthermore
have the technical equipment required for checking separator systems. In individual cases
and in the case of large operating units, these checks can also be carried out by internally
independent specialists of the operator who are not bound by instruction concerning their
area of responsibility and who have the same qualifications and technical equipment.
