Energy saving, care tips
Energy saving tips
• Utilise the storage heat of the CookStar all-stove base by reducing the heat early on and switching your cooker off
even before the end of the cooking time.
• Select the right size of cookware for the quantity to be cooked.
• When possible, cook with the lid on and in the closed position.
• The diameter of the burner should be equal to the diameter of the cookware base or be smaller.
Perfect cleaning and care
• When using your dishwasher, only use conventional products suitable for stainless steel. Use the dosages recom-
mended by the manufacturer. Industrial dishwasher products and other highly concentrated products are not
suitable. They will impair the surface, and thus the natural protective layer, of the stainless steel.
• If cookware with plastic handles is placed in the dishwasher, the handle will discolour over time. However, this will
not affect the functionality of the handles.
• When washing by hand, use your normal washing-up liquid and a cloth, sponge or soft brush. Avoid contact with
sharp or pointed objects. If the inside or base of the pot are heavily soiled, you can use the scourer side of your
sponge. The polished surfaces of your pot, however, should only be cleaned using a cloth or soft sponge. Never
scour them: otherwise you will damage the shiny surface.
• Do not allow food residues to dry on your cookware. They could cause stains and changes on the surface.
Immediately after use, pour hot water into your pot and remove food residues using a cloth, sponge or soft brush.
• Do not store foods in your pot, especially those containing salt or acid. Instead, use suitable storage bowls or
containers. Corrosion spots could develop on the pot base if the above advice is not heeded.
• Fissler Stainless Steel Cleaner should be used regularly to maintain and care for the robust stainless steel surface.
This product is also ideal for removing white or iridescent discolorations and deposits.
