Remove Debris From Around Brakes
Check on a weekly basis and clean as necessary.
Under certain conditions debris can become
compacted inside the front wheel hubs and around
the brake bands.
Clean all debris from around brake bands ,
hydraulic hoses and the inside of the wheel hubs
on both front wheels to prevent the debris
becoming a fire hazard.
Clean the machine as follows using compressed
air. Do not use high pressure water.
If possible the machine should be put on a four
post hoist. This will allow the removal of debris
without removing the wheels.
WARNING
Wear a Dust Mask, Eye Protection
and Gloves
1.
Loosen the compacted grass from the inside
of the wheel hub using a piece of wire (A).
2.
Blow out remaining debris using a com-
pressed air hose.
3.
Remove grass from around the brake
operating mechanism (B).
4.
Clear grass from around hydraulic hoses
(C).
NOTE: At the end of the cutting season remove
the front wheels and hubs and clear all grass
clippings from inside wheel hubs and brakes before
storage.
WARNING
When replacing wheel hub,
torque the wheel nut to 200Nm
and replace split pin.
