HYDRAULIC NOTES:
–
When any hydraulic port is opened, plug to reduce risk of contamination.
–
When checking for hydraulic leaks do not use your hands. Hydraulic fluid under pressure can get under
skin and will require immediate medical attention. Use cardboard or similar method to check for leaks.
–
Lower implements attached to lift arms to relieve hydraulic pressure from system before servicing.
–
When servicing hydraulic pipe fittings, do not use teflon tape. Use a liquid sealant that will dissolve into
system.
–
Make sure all hydraulic connections are tight before applying pressure to system.
COOLANT
Fill the radiator with a 50% antifreeze solution to
the correct level. The level is correct when the
coolant is at the bottom of the filler neck. The
overflow bottle O should normally be 1/4-1/2 full.
To drain the cooling system, attach a 3/8 I.D.
hose to the end of engine drain petcock N. Turn
valve handle counterclockwise to open.
IMPORTANT - Do not add 100% antifreeze to
radiator or overflow bottle. Always premix a 50%
solution.
When refilling the cooling system:
1. Ensure that the drain is closed
2. Fill radiator with antifreeze solution to the
bottom of the fill neck.
3. Start the engine and run at 1/4 throttle until
engine thermostat opens (coolant movement
will be seen at the radiator fill neck area).
4. Continue to add coolant to keep coolant level
at the bottom of the filler neck.
5. When the coolant level stabilizes at the
bottom of the fill neck, install the radiator
pressure cap.
