4.2.1
Proportional
Proportional adjustment is indicated for condensers or dry
coolers operating together with a refrigerating machine, as it
allows the reduction of the condensing temperature (or liquid
output) at reduced ambient temperature, with obvious energy
benefits to the plant.
Adjustment is activated when the setting temperature rises
above the SP threshold minus PR03 (proportional band setting).
In proportional adjustment, the demand for ventilation or wet
resources supply corresponds to the current value of the
adjustment variable.
Depending on the presence of wet resources supply (adiabatic and/or spray), the adjustment band is divided into 1, 2
or 3 areas where the specific resource (fans, APs, sprays) is to be controlled. The effective amplitude of the fans and
wet resources supply will be determined by the PR04 parameters (amplitude for start-ups before the wet resource)
and PR05 (amplitude for the second wet resource start-up), namely:
Between 0% and PR04% of the band PR03 → Ventilation control
•
Between PR04% and PR05%/100% of the band PR03 → First control/wet resource (adiabatic or spray panels)
•
Between PR05% and 100% of the band PR03 → Second wet resource control (EMERITUS® spray + adiabatic
•
