Software protection key
installation
Insert the software protection key supplied in a
free USB port of the USB HUB (SP, Figure 2). The
software protection key is required to use the
aligner.
NOTE: Software protection key must be inserted
before turning the PC on in order to ensure Soft-
ware correct installation and configuration.
CAUTION
For additional information about the technical
characteristics, warnings, maintenance and any
other data about the monitor or the printer, read
the relative operator's manuals supplied with
machine documentation.
Upgrading the wheel aligner
software
The wheel aligner is supplied with the software
already installed, and is complete with an instal-
lation USB MEMORY.
After installing the wheel aligner, switch on the
machine and go to the starting screen.
Press the key combination È + F12 (upper case +
F12): the software version will appear on the top
left of the screen, beneath the logo.
Compare the software release (indicated as "SW
STD ...") with that stated on the installation USB
MEMORY supplied with the aligner.
If the USB MEMORY release is more recent than
the release installed, update the aligner software.

CARD: card number 1 is the wheel aligner's main USB
KEY; card number 2 (if any) is an update USB KEY.
HEADER: "MAS" aligner main USB KEY, "AGG"
update USB KEY.
SERIAL: USB KEY serial number. For main USB
KEY this number is unique. For update USB KEY
the number is 0 when they are new, while after use
it becomes the same as that of the main card that
has been updated.

CUSTOM: type of wheel aligner customisation.
BD YEAR: year of the latest databank update, if
"DEMO" the aligner USB KEY has not been inserted
or is not functioning correctly.
Installation space
WARNING
Choose the place of installation in strict obser-
vance of local regulations regarding safety in
the workplace.
The floor must be able to withstand a load equal
to the sum of the weight of the equipment itself
and the maximum payload, bearing in mind the
lift support surface area and anchor fixtures used.
Place the aligner in the designated work position
and make sure that the rear panel of the equipment
is at least 10cm away from the nearest wall.
IMPORTANT: for correct, safe use of the equipment,
users must ensure a lighting level of at least 300
lux in the place of use.
CAUTION
Make sure that there are no permanent magnets,
electromagnets or sources of heat in the vicinity
of the machine as these could cause irreparable
damage (they might irreparably damage the
programme disk and the Personal Computer).
Ambient working conditions
Relative humidity 20% - 80%.
Temperature range 0°C - 40°C.
WARNING
The machine must not be operated in potentially
explosive atmosphere.
ELECTRICAL HOOK-UP
The manufacturer pre-sets the aligner to operate
with a power supply of 110-230V AC.
NOTES
- Instead, make sure that monitor and printer are
preset for operation at voltages other than 230 Vac.
- The network cable supplied with the machine
complies with the prevailing standards.
