9. FAULTS, CAUSES AND SOLUTIONS
FAULT
The lift does not work: no reaction.
When the <ascent> command is given, the
lift does not move up or has difficulty in
moving up.
Insufficient lift capacity.
The lift moves down of its own accord
until the safety hook engages in a stop.
Sliding of the pull arm is obstructed.
The pull bar vertical column does not
rotate easily or does not rotate at all.
The pull arm hydraulic-pneumatic pump
leaks oil.

TROUBLESHOOTING
POSSIBLE CAUSE
• No power.
• Electric motor burnt out.
• Pump out of order.
• Not enough oil in control unit tank.
• Pump badly worn.
• Ascent solenoid valve jammed or out of order.
• Hydraulic circuit operating pressure insufficient.
• Faulty jack: gasket seal defect.
• Lock valve worn.
• Dirt present.
• Lack of lubrication.
• See specific instruction manual.

PROBABLE SOLUTION
• Check the distribution panel and if necessary set
the master switch to the correct position.
• Check the position of the mushroom-headed
button on the control console; if necessary
release it and then press the reset button.
• Turn off the master switch on the power supply
panel, open the box on the control unit and
check the condition of the fuses. Replace the
fuses if necessary.
• Replace the electric motor.
• Replace the pump.
• Check the tank level and top up if necessary.
• Replace the pump.
• Check the solenoid valve and replace if
necessary.
• Check the pump operating pressure on the
pressure gauge.
Replace the pump if necessary.
• Replace the jack
• Replace the valve.
• Remove any dirt or remains of machining and
lubricate.
• Grease the base of the column again; if this is
not sufficient, adjust the fixing flange.
• See specific instruction manual.
