Wheel mounting

- Fit the flange most suitable to the type
of wheel to be balanced on the machine
shaft;
- extract the lifting trolley and lower the
wheel bearing plane completely;
- place the wheel on the trolley bearing
plane.
- lift the wheel using the suitable control
lever (8, Fig. 8), until the internal hole
in the wheel is in centred position with
respect to the shaft;
- push the lift towards the machine until
the wheel is resting on the previously
mounted flange; obviously the machine
shaft will pass through the central hole
of the wheel;
- press the key [P9]
shaft locking device and facilitate the
following operations;
- correctly centre the rim on the correct
flange diameter;
- fix the wheel by means of the suitable
counter-flange and the clamping ring nut;
- disengage the brake by pressing the [P9]
key again.
- lower the lift by operating the appropriate
control lever in the direction ¤ (DOWN),
and push it to the rest position (towards
the right side of the machine).

Wheel demounting

- lightly lift the runway of the lift by
operating the appropriate control lever
in the direction £ (UP), and take it near
to the wheel to demount;
- raise the lift by operating the appropriate
control lever in the direction £
until the bearing plane is in contact with
the tyre.

Important
In this condition, push again the lever in
£ (UP) direction for a moment in order to
slightly pre-load the plane of the lift against
the tyre, so as to compensate for the slight
lowering of the wheel which would occur
during release due to the spring effect of
the pneumatic cylinders.
- Release the wheel by removing the
clamping ring nut and the counter-flange;
- pull the lift outwards, until the entire
wheel is over the shaft (to allow its
lowering);
- lower the lift completely by acting on the
control lever in ¤
- Take the wheel down from the bearing
plane.

SWITCHING ON THE
Connect the power supply cable (A, fig. 12)
supplied with the machine from the external
electrical panel located on the rear side of
the machine body to the mains.
Switch on the machine using the switch on
the rear side of the body (B, fig. 12).
The machine performs a check test (all the
LEDs light up), and if no faults are detected,
a beeper sounds and a the initial active
status is displayed, as follows:
- balancing mode active: dynamic (DYN);
- values displayed: 000 000;
- grams displayed in units of 5 (or 1/4 of an
ounce)
- sensor rounding-off active (in the version
with automatic sensor)
- pre-set geometric values: width = 5.5",
(UP),
diameter = 14", distance = 150 mm.
(DOWN) direction;
