overloads occur.
During the unit´s operation, it is perfectly normal
for the metal casing to reach temperatures close
to 50 ºC, a value understood to be correct, with
the operations limits foreseen by TALLERES
MESTRAITUA, S.L.
All the units are checked before leaving the
factory. During the rigorous final quality control
carried out in TALLERES MESTRAITUA, S.L.
several test are made using gel, in order to
better simulate the true use conditions of the
unit. For this reason, it is completely normal to
receive your GEL BAT-6 with some remains of
gel inside the container.
PRECAUTIONS
♦ Before carrying out any maintenance on
the unit, switch it off and unplug from the
power supply.
♦ Before connecting the unit make sure the
electric connection is at 230 V, 50/60 Hz with
an earth connection.
♦ Neither children nor unqualified personnel
are allowed to manipulate the unit.
♦ Do not open the upper lid when the unit is in
operation. Under circumstances must you
bridge the safety switch which protects the
opening of the lid.
♦ Avoid the level of gel rising above 3 cm over
the last blade (the closest to the upper edge
of the container).
♦ Place the unit upon a flat surface, correctly
levelled, far from any sources of vibration.
Avoid the possibility of it tipping over.
♦ Make sure the tap is turned off before
starting up the unit.
♦ Do not pour the gel at a temperature (ºC1),
because it may scald you. Wait until the
pouring temperatures reaches (ºC2).
♦ During operation avoid touching the lid. It
may have a high temperature. In the gel

♦ Be extremely careful during the slow start
ups (the word "LEnt" appears on display
(1)). Eventual spattering or spillage of gel
may occur.
♦ Never leave the gel in liquid state during a
delayed start up. It may solidify, preventing a
normal start up of the unit. Always insert the
