unit, providing the GEL BAT-6 with a high
startup torque motor, and a specific control
module software. However, in certain occasions
the gel may spatter or spill over during a slow
startup. Therefore, we recommend being very
careful in these situations.
When a programme is being implemented,
never turn off the unit directly by means of the
main switch (13), given that the unit will consider
it a failure in the electric supply grid and when
we turn it on again it will show us the word
"Fred", if more than 10 minutes have gone by.

PROGRAMMING EXAMPLES

Example 1 (Direct Startup)
Let us suppose we find the unit turned off and
we want to carry out a direct startup. As you will
remember, it is a unit startup until the
temperature (ºC1) is reached in the shortest
possible time, and a subsequent cooling to
temperature (ºC2). We also suppose that values
(ºC1) and (ºC2) have been previously inserted
by the user:
Turn on the main switch (13).
Press key (ºC1) (8). Light ºC1 (11) will start
to blink.
Press key (ºC1) (8) again for several
seconds. Light ºC1 (11) will turn on
permanently.
Example 2 (Specific delayed startup)
Let's suppose that it is 10:00 AM, and we want
to reach the gel the temperature (ºC2) of 50 ºC
by 16:00 PM. We also want temperature (ºC1) to
reach 85 ºC. The programming procedure will be
carried out in the following manner:
Press temperature key (ºC1) (8).
Press the increase (5) and decrease (6)
keys until the display shows a temperature of
85 ºC.
Press the temperature key (ºC1) again.
Press temperature key (ºC2) (9).
Press the increase (5) and decrease (6)
keys until the displays shows a temperature
of 50 ºC.
Press temperature key (ºC2) again.
Press the clock key (7) once.
As we want the gel to be ready for pouring at
16:00, it is convenient to programme the unit
to reach (ºC1) 4 hours beforehand, that is, at
12:00. In order to do this press the increase
(5) and decrease (6) keys until the display
programmes 12:00.
Press the key (7) once again for a few
seconds.
From this moment on, the unit will startup
automatically at the precise time in order to
reach temperature ºC1 at 12:00. After the
cooling period until ºC2, the gel will be ready for
pouring..
Example 3 (Memorized delay startup)
Let's suppose we wish to permanently memorize
a start up at 8:00 AM, the gel will be ready to
pour at a temperature of 55 ºC. Furthermore, for
a correct mixture a temperature of 80 ºC (ºC1)
has to be reached. Proceed as follows:
Press temperature key (ºC1) (8).
Press the increase (5) and decrease (6)
keys until the display shows a temperature of
80 ºC.
Press the temperature key (ºC1) (8) again.
Press temperature key (ºC2) (9).
Press the increase (5) and decrease (6)
keys until the display shows a temperature of
55 ºC.
Press the temperature key (ºC1) (9) again.
Given that you want the gel to always be
ready at 8:00 AM, we will have to
programme a memorized delayed startup. In
order to do this you press the clock key (7)
twice. The display will alternatively show the
programme memorized "hPro".
We said the pouring temperature was
reached 2 to 4 hours after reaching (ºC1).
Therefore, we recommend programing (ºC1)
at 4:00 AM in order for the gel to be ready at
8:00. Press the increase (5) and decrease
(6) keys until the display shows 4:00.
Then press the clock (7) for several
seconds. The delayed startup light (10) will
turn on continuously.
At night, the machine will startup at the time
calculated by the microprocessor in order to
reach the heating temperature (ºC1) by 4:00
AM. Then the cooling phase commences so that
the gel is ready for pouring at 8:00 AM.

MAINTENANCE AND CLEANING

In order to guarantee optimum reliability and
long working life of the unit, we recommend you
bear in mind the following:
Cleaning the outer casing of the GEL BAT-6
should always be done with a cloth
moistened in soapy water. Do not use
solvents or any other inflammable product.
The control has a lithium battery. It should
be changed approximately every two years.
When the battery has no further power, the
display shows the word "PILA". The location
of the battery appears on the assembly
sheet.
The unit is provided with two thermoprobes.
If these were to cause any problems, the
