The GEL BAT-6 (R-080510) is a gel mixing
practise specially designed for use within the
mechanical dentistry sector. Safety elements
complying to the most rigorous guidelines of EC
regulations have been used in its design. The
GEL BAT-6 enables the gel placed in the
container to a heating and stirring lea defined by
the user which consists of three phases:
1. A prior waiting period, during which the unit
remains on standby awaiting the heating
phase to commence.
2. A heating period, in wich the gel temperature
rises to a value of (ºC1) set beforehand by
the user, between 65 ºC and 95 ºC. During
this phase heating temperature is higher
than the subsequent pouring temperature.
The idea is to achieve a homogeneous gel
mixture and without any clots. Also, this
phase the mixer blades are set in motion in
order to further favour the correct mixing of
the gel.
3. Once the heating phase the gel achieves an
optimum texture, but its temperature is too
high for pouring. A cooling period then
commences forced by a fan which ends
when the gel temperature reaches a value of
(ºC2) between 35 ºC and 65 ºC preset by the
user. Once the third phase has been
completed, the gel is then ready for pouring.
INSTALLING THE UNIT
Carefully unpack the gel mixer GEL BAT-6.
•
Choose a flat surface to place it on, far from
•
any heat or vibration sources. We also
recommend choosing a location which is
sufficiently ventilated.
Be sure to leave a space between the
•
surface of the table and the legs (C), given
that the cooling air from the container is
collected
Conect the unit to a 230 V, 50/60 Hz electric
•
outlet with an earth connection.
Proceed to set the control panel on time and
•
programme it according to the indications in
the following points.
SETTING THE CLOCK ON TIME
The GEL BAT-6, is provided with a clock in real
time. Every time the main switch (13), the
display (1) alternatively shows the real time of
the unit and the temperature inside the
container. In order to set the time proceed in the
following manner:
10
GB
1. Activate the main switch (13) pressing the
clock key (7) at the same time. For one
minute the display (1) will show the real time
of the unit and alternatively the word "horA".
2. During this period of time it is possible to
modify the time shown. In order to do this
activate the increase (5) and dicrease (6)
keys until the clock shows the desired time.
3. Press the clock key (7) to save the time.
4. The GEL BAT-6 is delivered from the factory
with Spain time.
PROGRAMMING THE UNIT
The unit can be programmed to execute a cycle
made up of the three phases indicated at the
beginning of the instruction manual. The (ºC1)
heating and (ºC2) pouring temperatures may be
regulated at will by the user between values of
65 ºC and 95 ºC for (ºC1), and 35 ºC and 65 ºC
for (ºC2).
The temperature setting is carried out in the
following manner:
1. In order to regulate the heating temperature
(ºC1), press key (8) briefly. You will notice
how the heating temperature light on the
graph (11) starts to blink, and that display (1)
indicates the value set for temperature (ºC1).
2. In this situation use the keys to increase (5)
decrease (6) until the display shows the
desired temperature.
3. Then, briefly press key (ºC1) in order to
memorize the temperature you have just
selected.
4. In order to regulate the pouring temperature
(ºC2), press key (9) briefly. You will notice
how the heating temperature light on the
graph (12) starts blinking, and the display (1)
indicates the value set for the temperature
(ºC2).
5. In this situation use the increase (5) and
decrease (6) keys until the display (1) shows
the desired temperature.
6. Once the setting process has been carried
out, press key (ºC2) (9), in order to
memorize the temperature you have just
selected.
As regards the periods, the only time wich can
be programmed by the user is the time in which
he/she wishes to reach heating temperature
(ºC1). In this sense, the GEL BAT-6 may carry
out two types of startups:
On the one hand direct startup- The unit is put
into operation directly, in order to reach ºC1
