the same thing on key (ºC2) (9). However, a
direct startup of the unit at the (ºC2) step is not
advisable.
OPERATION
1. Activate the main switch (13). You will notice
how the display (1) on the control panel of
the unit is activated indicating the GEL BAT-
6 is ready to operate.
2. Open the upper lid (A). You will notice that
by opening the lid the display shows the
message "PUEr" and the temperature of the
gel mixer alternatively.
3. Fill the container with gel. In order to do this,
cut the solid block of gel into small pieces of
about 4 cm long, and place them in the
container (do not cut up the gelatine inside
the vat). The final level of the gel should be
about 3 cm, above the last blade. When the
unit enters into operation, the level of the gel
in the container will fall somewhat due to the
heating resistance and blades. Then refill the
container again until the final level of the gel
covers the last blade. (The one closest to the
top edge of the container).
WATCH OUT!! Do not let solidify the jelly into
the vessel: when the machine start up, the
temperature sensor could take a wrong value
and consequently a wrong machine perform.
If this happens, full empty the vessel, cut the
jelly in small pieces and start up again the
machine.
4. Close the lid and programme the GEL BAT-6
following
the
instructions. The R-080510 gel mixer will
startup automatically if a delayed startup has
not been programmed. During the operation
the heatin resistance light (2) will turn on a
stirrer (4) will startup in order to indicate to
the user that the programme continues to
run without any problems. If a delayed
startup were programmed, the clock light
(10)
would
turn
circumstance. Subsequently, the unit would
commence operating at the time foreseen by
the microprocessor. (Delayed startup).
5. You can alter the values of the ºC1 and ºC2
temperatures
at
programme execution. On the other hand, if
you wish to achieve a gel mix press the
(ºC1) key for several seconds, because
during this step always causes a stirring of
the mixture. In order to know what step of
the programme is being executed at a given
time you must look at the lights on the graph
(10), (11), (12).

6. When the heating temperature (ºC1) is
reached, the GEL BAT-6 will turn on the
control panel. The cooling phase will then
commence until the pouring temperature
(ºC2) is reached. You will notice that during
this phase light (12) turn on.
7. When the pouring temperature (ºC2) is
reached, the gel is ready to use. Place a
container under the spout (E) and pull the
tap knob (F) towards you. The gel will flow
out continuously.
8. Once the work with the unit has been
completed, empty the unit container by
pouring all of the excess gel into another
container through the spout (E).
9. In order to finish the programme, press key
ºC2 (9) continuously for several seconds.
You will notice how the three lights on the
control graph start to blink. Then disconnect
the main switch (13).
During the normal running of the programme the
lid of the unit cannot be opened. A safety switch
will disconnect the GEL BAT-6 if the upper lid
(A) is opened, and will alternatively show an
error message on the display ("PUER") along
with the container temperature.
Sometimes, although we may have a preset
time to reach the ºC1 temperature, the control
module may detect a specific overheating of the
gel, and as a preventive measure alter the
control algorithm of the heating resistance,
causing a delay of 10 to 15 minutes of the
stimated time to reach ºC1. This manoeuvre has
been foreseen by TALLERES MESTRAITUA,
S.L. and should be understood as being
completely normal.
If the electric supply is cut off, the gel mixer R-
080510 reacts in two different ways: If the cut off
is no longer than 10 minutes, the unit
understands that it is a once-off failure and
keeps the execution step parameters in its
memory, so that when the electric power
returns, it can continue with its programme from
the moment is stopped.
If on the contrary the cut off period is more than
this
10 minutes, the display (1) shows the message
electricity supply failure "Fred". The control then
interprets that the gel may solidified and that the
stirrer shaft may end up blocked. If the gel has
solidified, the unit will carry out a type of special
the
startup (slow) showing the word "Lent" on the
screen.
During the slow startup, the control executes a
series of manoeuvres in the heating resistance
and the stirrer motor, trying to return to the
normal
situation
TALLERES MESTRAITUA S.L. has foreseen
this circumstance in the design phase of the
as
soon
as
possible.
